NYLO is brand new and very nice - offering rates starting at $53/night on travelocity, 2 double beds and free wifi. It's in Las Colinas, Irving about 11 miles or 20 minutes from Improving.

Hyatt Summerfield Suites in Addison is around $58/night on travelocity - good reveiews for the price.

Quality Inn and suites in Addison is around $50/night.

and then there's always couchsurfing.org or Dallas hostels/b&b.
